Social Events


While at the meeting, you’ll enjoy plenty of time to connect with your colleagues and their guests. The following activities are included with meeting registration. NOTE: badges are required for these events.

WELCOME RECEPTION

After the first day of sessions and a free afternoon, we’ll kick off our social events with a reception for surgeons, exhibitors, and guests. Sample small plates and enjoy a drink while you mingle. Plus, visit exhibits to take part in the SNS Treasure Hunt!

 

FAMILY NIGHT

Family Night

Join us on the beach for an “out-of-this-world” Family Night. In honor of our Downing Lecturer, NASA Astronaut Bill McArthur, we’ll look to the moon and stars for inspiration and have a galaxy of fun for all ages. Look forward to fun activities and eye-catching photo ops along with food, music, and great company.

We encourage all SNS members to stay through Saturday evening to toast the Executive Council and another successful Annual Meeting! Attendees and registered guests ages 18+ are invited to this evening of fine dining and dancing.

SNS GOLF TOURNAMENT

Golf Tournament

Friday, February 7, 2025
1:00 pm - Shuttle Pickup at the JW
The Rookery at Marco

$365 per player—includes a boxed lunch, 18 holes of golf, cart fee, club storage and cleaning after play, markers, scorecards, prizes, and all taxes and fees. 
Register via Meeting Registration by January 7.  

Join your colleagues for some friendly competition and prizes! You’ll play at The Rookery, a Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy course that is striking in both beauty and challenge. The surrounding lakes and ponds are home to abundant wildlife, including bald eagles, alligators, blue herons, and many other types of water birds. Playing here provides a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with nature. Multiple tee options are available to challenge participants at any level. Prizes will be awarded for best foursome, closest to the pin, longest drive, and longest putt. Format of play will be a shotgun scramble.
